EPSO Pass Mark & Score Calculator

Check your reasoning test results against the pass marks most often used in EPSO competitions, and see roughly where you would rank among other candidates. This is an independent tool, not affiliated with EPSO.

Your result

Verbal reasoning: 12/20 — pass mark 10: ✅ passed

Numerical + abstract combined: 11/20 — pass mark 10: ✅ passed

You would pass the minimum thresholds.

Total: 23/40 · Estimated percentile: 64th

Passing the threshold does not guarantee an invitation to the next stage: usually only the best-scoring candidates (often 2–3 times the number of places) move on, so the real cut-off is often higher than the pass mark.

How the calculation works

In most recent EPSO competitions the reasoning tests are taken on computer. Verbal reasoning usually has 20 questions and is marked on its own. Numerical (10 questions) and abstract reasoning (10 questions) are usually added together, and you must reach the pass mark on the combined score. Both conditions must be met.

The numbers of questions and pass marks change from competition to competition. Always check the "Notice of competition" for your exact procedure and adjust your expectations if it differs.

The percentile is an estimate based on a simple model of typical candidate results, not on official EPSO data. Use it to compare your practice sessions over time, not as a prediction of your final ranking.
